Idit Greenberg

Idit Greenberg was born in Tel-Aviv, Israel in 1965. In 1986, she moved to Milan where she completed her studies and received her degree in photography at the C.F.P Bauer. In 1989 her work was chosen for the International Bi-annual Photography Exhibition in Turin.
At the same time she began her career in fashion and advertising working for renowned Italian fashion magazines such as Anna, Max, Lei, Donna, Vogue Uomo, Vogue Sposa, Casa Vogue and Abitare. Widening her interests, she studied film in Milano and then in Bassano del Grappa at Ipotesi Cinema under the direction of Ermano Olmi. She has produced advertising campaignes for clients such as Blaupunkt, Replay, Saiwa and Calze Ori and has worked with designers for Cassina, Baleri, CP Company and Martin Guy.
In 1992 Greenberg was chosen among fifteen international photographers to participate in a world project on the theme of The Child at the Seville Expo in Spain.
In 2001 she began teaching photography at Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem and in 2007 had her first solo exhibit in New York at the Andrea Meislin Gallery.
Idit Greenberg continues to pursue her visual research as a photographer documenting her personal and poetic world, and has begun recently to explore the field of painting. Her fine art photography is included in the permanent collections of The Israel Museum in Jerusalem and The Nagar Fund in London.
